Job Summary:
Responsible for our Indirect Lending Program by establishing and developing opportunities to serve new dealer partners in our current and targeted market area, and for maintaining and expanding our visibility and penetration with existing dealers. Responsible for establishing a strong and mutually beneficial relationship with dealers in the program; ensure a strong market share attainment of indirect auto financing goals, growth and expansion of the program into new market areas. The Dealer Relationship Manager works closely with internal departments, including Lending, Underwriting, Loan Processing, Funding and others to ensure a seamless experience for dealer partners and members. This role is also responsible for monitoring and overseeing the Credit Union's indirect lending goals, performance metrics, and strategic initiatives while ensuring all activities are conducted in accordance with applicable laws, regulations, policies, and Credit Union procedures. The ideal candidate is highly relationship-oriented, responsive, organized, results-driven, and knowledgeable about indirect auto lending. They are comfortable balancing business development and service expectations with sound lending practices and regulatory compliance.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Maintain a documented dealer visitation schedule ensuring that all Patriot dealers are visited on a frequent and periodic basis.
- Provide routine sales call reports to supervisor identifying competitive issues, dealer concerns, market changes and observations noted regarding dealer's business activity and trends.
- Create and maintain quality relationships with our indirect dealer partners that results in increased auto loan market share and for membership growth.
- Gather and evaluate competitive information on indirect loan rates and program features.
- Monitor and report on the quality of dealership partners- the service they provide to customers and their adherence to applicable laws and regulations.
- Evaluate and recommend changes to the Indirect Lending Program and inform management regarding key operational issues affecting this area.
- Introduce the credit union's Indirect Program to new dealerships in target market areas, expanding our market area and market share.
- Develop strong working relationships with internal departments to ensure efficient and positive dealer and member experience.
- Partner with Loan Operations, Funding, and other operational teams to mitigate credit risk and resolve processing or funding issues.
- Maintain familiarity with credit union loan policy, Indirect Lending Manual and Dealer Agreement, and departmental procedures related to the Indirect Lending Program.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for dealers regarding the Credit Union's Indirect Lending Program.
- Monitor dealer and portfolio performance and identify trends, opportunities, and areas requiring improvement.
- Maintain regular and predictable attendance in the office for the purposes of serving members directly or indirectly, teamwork and supporting team members.

- Participate in routine open exchanges with your supervisor to assess your job-related accomplishments and your professional development needs.
- Keep up to date on training and continuing education items.
- Maintain a valid driver's license and businesslike transportation and appearance; must be able to travel independently.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable regulations and policies, especially Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) and Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC).
Education and Experience:
- Recent and relevant experience with the auto market.
- Experience with indirect lending.
- Two to five years of similar or related experience
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of driving, interspersed with exiting and entering the vehicle for multiple sales calls.
Pay:
$71,000.00 - $106,000.00 per year
