Job Summary We are seeking a Loan Servicing Specialist for a contract opportunity in El Monte, CA. This role is a great fit for candidates with banking, office administration, data entry, loan operations, or similar experience who are looking to build their career in banking and consumer lending. The Loan Servicing Specialist will support loan servicing operations by setting up CIS records, processing standard loan payments, completing general ledger reconciliation, and handling routine maintenance transactions. This opportunity offers a supportive team environment, hands-on training for qualified entry-level banking candidates, and exposure to important back-office lending functions. Candidates who are detail-oriented, adaptable, and eager to grow within financial services will be well positioned for success. Key Responsibilities
Set up CIS records and complete related loan servicing activities accurately and timely.
Process standard loan payments in accordance with established procedures.
Perform general ledger reconciliation related to loan servicing transactions.
Process standard loan maintenance transactions and ensure information is updated correctly.
Review documentation and data for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with internal procedures.
Communicate professionally with internal teams to resolve questions, issues, or processing obstacles. Compensation and Benefits
Pay rate: $20 to $22 per hour.
Job type: Contract/temporary. Required Qualifications and Skills
Set up and maintain CIS records related to loan servicing activities.
Process standard loan payments and maintenance transactions.
Support general ledger reconciliation and transaction accuracy.
Review loan servicing data and communicate with internal teams to resolve issues.
Minimum 1 year of work experience, preferably in banking.
Office, administrative, data entry, loan servicing, or similar experience will be considered.
Associate degree preferred, or equivalent work-related experience.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
Good written and verbal communication skills.
Strong attention to detail and ability to process information accurately.
Ability to adapt quickly to change and perform in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to build effective working relationships to address issues and obstacles. Preferred Qualifications
Loan system experience preferred.
Banking or consumer lending experience preferred.
Prior experience with loan servicing, payment processing, account maintenance, or reconciliation preferred.
