Summary:

The Loan Servicing Specialist must possess the ability to work in a fast paced, high volume, and deadline-controlled environment. Responsibilities for this position include but are not limited to non-escrow insurance monitoring, loan escrow disbursements, loan payment processing, and general loan servicing support. The position will require a working knowledge of and adherence to all policies and procedures of the Bank as well as applicable regulations and laws. The individual will maintain a general knowledge of current banking and lending regulations and the features/benefits of the Bank's loan products and services.

Job Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent. 3+ years' experience in mortgage servicing. Experience in an accounting or banking operations, preferably dealing with payments, transactions, and balancing Good organizational, verbal and analytical skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, primarily Word, Excel and Outlook and ability to master other proprietary banking systems.

Specific Job Functions:

Respond promptly and professionally to customer inquiries regarding loan payments, insurance disbursements, taxes, ground rents, payoffs, credit references and escrow analysis. Monitor and enforce forced placed insurance for non-escrowed loans. Research and analyze payment issues and discrepancies. Process real estate tax, insurance, and PMI/MIP payments. Research and pay delinquent taxes. Contact agencies, vendors, and borrowers when needed. Prompt loan payment processing. Receive, validate and complete loan maintenance requests. Process incoming and returned mail relating to loan servicing. Research and process un-posted loan transactions. Monitor Life-of-loan Flood changes. Monitor e-Oscar and respond to credit disputes. Prepare lien releases. Perform loan research, able to answer and resolve basic to moderately complex inquiries. Consistently meet all regulatory and legal guidelines surrounding all assigned functions. Perform other duties as assigned.
