Loan Officer ECM Federal Credit Union Ridgeland, MS Job Details Full-time $60,000 a year 1 day ago Benefits Health insurance Dental insurance 401(k) Tuition reimbursement Paid time off Vision insurance Life insurance Retirement plan Qualifications Loan compliance checks Debt collection Underwriting Customer support for financial loans Verification (borrower information) Full Job Description The Loan Officer is responsible for assisting credit union members with their lending needs by evaluating loan applications, analyzing creditworthiness, and making sound lending decisions in accordance with credit union policies, procedures, and applicable regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
Interview members and assess their financial needs and lending requests. Review credit reports, income, debt, and other financial information to determine creditworthiness. Process and underwrite consumer and other applicable loan requests. Explain loan products, terms, rates, and requirements to members. Ensure loan documentation is accurate, complete, and compliant with applicable regulations. Maintain loan records and follow up on outstanding documentation. Provide exceptional member service while balancing the credit union's lending standards and risk-management requirements. Assist with collection and delinquency efforts as needed. Stay current on credit union policies, lending regulations, and products.
Qualifications:
Previous lending or financial-services experience preferred. Strong communication, analytical, organizational, and member-service skills are required. Knowledge of consumer lending, credit analysis, and applicable lending regulations is preferred.
Pay:
$60,000.00 per year
