Job Summary The purpose of this position is to serve as the primary point of contact for credit union members, delivering exceptional service and support across a range of financial transactions. This role is responsible for assisting members with account inquiries, opening and maintaining accounts, processing transactions, and supporting loan activities. The position requires a strong commitment to accuracy, professionalism, and member satisfaction while promoting credit union products and services. Responsibilities Provide prompt, accurate, and courteous service to members in person, by phone, and through other communication channels Respond to member inquiries, resolve issues, and escalate complex concerns to appropriate staff when necessary Open new accounts and maintain existing accounts, ensuring required documentation is complete and procedures are followed Process member transactions, including deposits, withdrawals, transfers, loan payments, check requests, and other account-related services in accordance with established procedures Identify member needs and recommend appropriate credit union products and services Assist with opening and maintaining Individual Retirement Accounts (IRAs) Research and resolve account discrepancies involving deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, and other account activity Assist members with account balancing and general financial inquiries. Prepare and distribute receipts, checks, and other documentation in accordance with established procedures Process and respond to member mail transactions in a timely manner Other duties as assigned Job Requirements High school diploma or equivalent required; some college coursework preferred. 3 years of banking, credit union, financial services, or related customer service experience prefered Strong numerical, communication, and interpersonal skills. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Demonstrated integrity, professionalism, and commitment to member service. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple priorities. Proficiency with computers and the ability to learn and use banking software and other technology. Prior cash-handling, banking, or customer service experience highly desirable. Ability to follow established procedures and maintain confidentiality of member and credit union information.
