Job Description

The Clerk position is essential to ensuring the smooth flow of cargo operations, with responsibilities that directly impact the company's reputation for reliability and service quality. Identify, stow, and sort cargo loaded or discharged from vessels into the terminal. Work closely with the Clerk-In-Charge to categorize and organize various cargoes in designated areas. Accurately document cargo details, including completing load lists, using scanners, and preparing tally sheets for production reports. Monitor and oversee the loading and unloading of trucks, barges, and railcars. Verify cargo counts, weights, measurements, marks, and dimensions. Ensure proper placement of cargo in staging areas to maintain efficient workflow. Support and adhere to company safety initiatives, operational directives, and policies. At least 1 year of experience in a maritime, industrial, or warehousing environment. Proficiency in English and basic math skills. Ability to follow instructions and work effectively in a team-oriented environment. Willingness to work rotational shifts. Physical ability to safely perform all essential job duties.
