Import/Export Coordinator - Starting at $19/hr

Pay:
Starting at $19.00/hr

Monday-Friday Hours:
7:30 AM-4:00 PM or 8:00 AM-4:30 PM Occasional Saturdays may be requiredWe are hiring an experienced Import/Export Coordinator to support export customers and shipping operations in Baytown, TX. This role coordinates customs and shipping activities, tracks containers, prepares documentation, and works closely with customs brokers, carriers, and government agencies. We're looking for someone with strong shipping/receiving or logistics experience who is organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. What You'll DoCoordinate import/export customs and shipping activitiesTrack containers through port systems and monitor vessel delaysVerify container history and per diem informationCoordinate fumigation and inspections with government agenciesProvide required documentation for inspections and treatmentsTrack cold treatments and investigate or resolve discrepanciesCommunicate with customs brokers regarding container deliveries and pickupsCoordinate schedules with carriers and resolve shipping discrepanciesPrepare accurate import/export documentation for government agenciesMaintain detailed logs of inspections, fumigation, and treatmentsPrepare container documentation for operations and billingMaintain accurate shipping and compliance recordsEnsure activities follow applicable import/export and customs requirements What We're Looking ForMinimum 3 years of warehouse, shipping, or receiving experience requiredHigh school diploma or GED requiredStrong attention to detail and accuracyAbility to identify and resolve problems in a fast-paced environmentProficiency with Microsoft Word and ExcelStrong written and verbal communication skillsComfortable working independently and taking ownership of assigned tasksBasic math skills, including fractions and decimalsAbility to adapt to changing deadlines and priorities Experience That Could Set You ApartImport/export or customs experienceFood, warehousing, transportation, or logistics industry experienceKnowledge of USDA regulationsExperience communicating with government agenciesFamiliarity with the Automated Commercial Environment (ACE)Understanding of produce entry requirements and regulationsExperience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), including JDA or GLSExperience working directly with customs brokers and carriers Physical & Work Environment This position is primarily office-based but may require visits to warehouse areas, including environments at or below freezing. Candidates should be able to occasionally lift or move items weighing up to 20 lbs.
