full-time Candidate must be a Colorado resident We are assisting our client in identifying a top performing candidate for the following role : The Director of Accounting will oversee general ledger accounting, operational accounting , cash and treasury and tax, while maintaining and supporting a timely month-end close.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Oversee the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes.
  • Ensure compliance with US GAAP .
  • Establish reconciliation standards and monitor completion against close deadlines.
  • Maintain the general ledger
  • Lead and develop the accounting team, including general ledger, payroll, and accounts payable staff.
  • Monitor vendor relationships, payment terms, and aging reports, and resolve outstanding items.
  • Oversee daily cash accounting activities, and review and approve bank reconciliations.
  • Partner with Treasury on cash forecasting and liquidity reporting. Experience required
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance.
  • 10+ years of progressive accounting experience.
  • 5+ years of supervisory experience
  • Strong knowledge of US GAAP.
  • Experience leading month-end close.
  • Experience managing general ledger, accounts payable, and cash accounting.
  • Experience implementing accounting process improvements and automation.
  • Experience with ERP systems
  • CPA Public accounting experience strongly preferred $150-$165K plus bonus and equity
