Director of Accounting Watertown, SD | Full-Time | Onsite Ledgers is seeking a Director of Accounting to own our accounting function. You will lead our financial statement work, review the work of our team, and serve as the main contact for some of our largest clients. This role reports to our COO and holds the Accounting seat on our EOS Accountability Chart, using the EOS model of Lead, Manage, and Hold Accountable (LMA). What You'll Own

• Lead, Manage, and Hold Accountable (LMA) the accounting team.
• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial statements.
• Own the quality review process so statements go out accurate and on time.
• Build a financial statement review process that scales as the firm grows.
• Keep bookkeeping and accounting processes consistent across clients.
• Serve as the go-to contact for key client relationships.
• Meet your own billable hours goal and help the team meet theirs.
• Lead department planning through the Scorecard, Rocks, and Level 10 Meetings. What You Bring
• CPA strongly preferred; bachelor's degree in accounting required.
• 5+ years of public accounting experience with financial statement preparation and review.
• 2+ years supervising, coaching, or training staff.
• Experience with small business, ag/farm, or nonprofit clients is a plus.
• Strong QuickBooks skills and comfort with cloud-based tools.
