We are looking for a Senior Financial Analyst to join a growing manufacturing organization in Turlock, California on a Contract basis. In this role, you will provide financial insight that helps leaders make informed decisions across operations, supply chain, and overall business performance. This position is ideal for someone who brings strong experience in planning, cost analysis, and reporting within an inventory-driven environment.

Responsibilities:

Evaluate financial and operating results to uncover trends, performance drivers, and opportunities for improvement. Create variance analyses and leadership reports that clearly explain results against budget, forecast, and prior periods. Build financial models and complete ad hoc analyses to support strategic decisions and day-to-day business needs. Review cost of sales, margin performance, and product-level profitability to identify factors affecting earnings. Partner with operations and supply chain teams to assess how production and inventory activity influence financial outcomes. Contribute to budgeting, forecasting, and ongoing planning cycles by preparing data, assumptions, and analytical support. Track key business metrics and present meaningful insights to leadership to strengthen financial visibility. Assist with month-end and year-end close by preparing reconciliations, schedules, and supporting documentation. Support audit requests and help maintain accuracy and consistency across financial reports and analyses. Work collaboratively with cross-functional leaders to improve reporting processes and drive operational efficiencies. Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related discipline. At least 5 years of experience in financial analysis, FP& A, cost accounting, or operational finance. Background in manufacturing, consumer products, food production, distribution, or another inventory-focused environment is preferred. Demonstrated ability to support budgeting, forecasting, management reporting, and variance analysis. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate data into practical business recommendations. Advanced Excel proficiency is required. Experience with financial modeling, ad hoc analysis, and data mining techniques. Ability to manage multiple priorities independently in a fast-paced business setting.
