Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Administration preferred Prior Ap/Payroll Experince required 2-3 years in a hospital or physician office preferred 10 key Microsoft Office Suite The Financial Analyst is accountable for the accounting operations of the company, including the production of periodic financial reports, maintenance of an adequate system of accounting records, and a comprehensive set of controls and budgets designed to mitigate risk, enhance the accuracy of the company's reported financial results, and ensure that reported results comply with generally accepted accounting principles or international financial reporting standards. This position is responsible for cash management and risk management.
Description:
Support the development of organizational and departmental budgets Oversee Payroll Processing Oversee Accounts Payable processing and vendor management Ensure that all reasonable discounts are taken on accounts payable Ensure that payroll is processed in a timely manner Ensure that periodic bank reconciliations are completed Support the controller with other accounting and trial balance reconciliation functions Ensure that required debt payments are made on a timely basis Support with maintaining the chart of accounts approved by the CFO Maintain an orderly accounting filing system Maintain a system of controls over accounting transactions; post various general entries to record account activity.
Reporting:
Support with the preparation of the corporate annual report, audit, and cost reports. Calculate budget variances and report significant issues to management. Provide financial analyses as needed, in particular for capital investments, pricing decisions, and contract negotiations.
Compliance:
Support the audit with backup and supporting documentation. Comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings. Analyst Prepare, review, and post complex journal entries Perform detailed account reconciliations and variance analyses Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes Support preparation of financial statements in compliance with GAAP or relevant standards Analyze financial data to identify errors, trends, or areas of improvement Collaborate with other departments to gather required information and resolve accounting issues Ensure proper documentation and maintenance of accounting records Assist with internal and external audits by preparing supporting schedules and documentation Participate in process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and accuracy Stay current on accounting rules, regulations, and best practices
