Senior Credit Analyst - Commercial

Job Description

Job Description Under the supervision of the SVP - Senior Credit Officer, the Senior Credit Analyst underwrites and reviews commercial lending relationships, with a focus on large, complex credits. This role ensures all loans align with established Policy, maintains portfolio reporting, and mentors junior analysts while developing tools to streamline origination and manage risk. Qualified individuals must also be able to manage multiple tasks such as:
  • Collaborate with Loan Officers to organize and track financial documentation throughout the underwriting process.
  • Maintain quality credit files to ensure seamless audits and third-party regulatory reviews.
  • Evaluate the financial condition of complex commercial entities, focusing on debt service, collateral support, and risk assessment for both Commercial & Industrial and Commercial Real Estate Loans .
  • Validate that all loan requests align with established Lending Policy, documenting specific risks and recommending appropriate risk ratings.
  • Interface directly with borrowers and accountants to clarify financial data and support underwriting requirements.
  • Execute annual reviews for existing commercial borrowing relationships in accordance with loan policy parameters.
  • Manage portfolio data for monthly and quarterly reporting and assist with external loan review processes.
  • Mentor junior analysts by providing guidance and technical assistance.
  • Optimize underwriting workflows by identifying efficiencies and developing tools to enhance portfolio management.
Qualifications Education/Experience:
College degree preferred and at least three years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Sound knowledge of Word, Excel, loan software, and data center software required to perform this job successfully. Experience with LoanVantage desired. Knowledge of tax return and financial statement analysis with appropriate credit skills. $100,000 - $125,000 annual salary
