Salary:

We're looking for a bookkeeper who loves clean books, closes the month on time, and can turn the numbers into a clear story for leadership. Responsibilities

• Maintain the general ledger in QuickBooks for both church and school, with proper fund accounting
• Reconcile all bank, credit card, and loan accounts monthly
• Process accounts payable, vendor payments, and staff reimbursements
• Track designated giving, scholarship funds, and donor-restricted gifts
• Manage tuition billing, payment plans, and past-due follow-up
• Own the Step Up For Students scholarship process: enrollment verification, disbursement tracking, and reconciliation
• Monitor budget-to-actual monthly and flag variances early
• Close the month and deliver financial statements for church and school
• Prepare monthly and quarterly financial reports for leadership
• Support annual budgeting, year-end contribution statements, and audit preparation Qualifications
• 3+ years of full-cycle bookkeeping experience (nonprofit, church, or school experience a plus)
• Proficient in QuickBooks and confident in Excel
• Working knowledge of fund accounting
• Proven ability to close a month on deadline and reconcile independently
• Ability to explain financials clearly to non-financial leaders
• High integrity and discretion with confidential financial information
• A personal relationship with Jesus Christ and agreement with Liberty's statement of faith Preferred Qualifications
• Experience with FACTS or another tuition management system
• Experience with Step Up For Students or Florida scholarship programs
