Position Summary The Financial Analyst is a key member of the SWECO finance and accounting team. The successful team member will have exposure to all aspects of the company's finance and accounting teams including financial modelling, analysis and reporting. The team member will interface with mostly all groups in the company including sales, purchasing, operations, inventory management & control and executive management. Being successful in this role will require a person that has an ambition to learn new concepts and try new things without the fear of failing.
Key Responsibilities Financial Analysis and Reporting:
Build models, run variance analyses, and prepare monthly, weekly, and daily financial reports to evaluate operational performance and support decision-making
Cost Accounting:
Monitor standard costs, inventory valuation, labor efficiency, and overhead absorption to connect factory-floor operations to financial statements
Budgeting and Forecasting:
Support annual planning process, maintain forecasts, and capital investment evaluations, ensuring alignment with corporate financial goals
Operational Collaboration:
Work closely with production, supply chain, engineering, and management teams to identify cost-saving opportunities and improve operational efficiency
Decision Support:
Translate operational performance into financial insights and provide recommendations for business growth and improvement.
International Support:
Be available to work with international accounting professionals on corporate reporting and analysis.
Month-End Close:
Active participant in all aspects of month-end close process including account reconciliations, accrual review, variance investigation, and reporting package preparation
ERP Implementation Assistance AI Development:
Be willing to explore AI tools that will benefit the company. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Advanced Skill in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, financial modeling, ERP systems and financial reporting tools) Ability to review unclear data with the ambition to make sense of the data and collaborate with others in the organization to develop actionable insights. Willingness to engage with others with a curiosity mindset to learn the business and communicate clearly Work with finance team to grow in responsibilities as the company grows domestically and internationally. Willingness to learn new skills and apply in the business. Qualifications & Experience Required Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting 4 to 8 years' experience Strong experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle EBS, NetSuite, Infor CSI, and Microsoft Dynamics, or similar. Preferred Exposure to Business Intelligence preferred. Working Conditions & Travel Requires prolonged periods of sitting, viewing computer screens, and keyboard use. Occasional travel may be required for meetings, training, audits, or other business-related activities. This role follows a full-time schedule and requires regular in‑person work at our Florence, KY office. Candidates must live within commuting distance. Must have the legal right to work and reside in the United States without visa sponsorship.
