Must be able to obtain a Secret Security Clearance The Opportunity Kelly Services is seeking an experienced Accountant - Financial Analyst for a temp-to-hire opportunity with a growing organization supporting critical National Security and Government projects. This is an excellent opportunity for a seasoned accounting professional with extensive Government contract cost accounting experience to join a dynamic Finance team. Working directly with the Controller, you will support project cost accounting, financial reporting, budgeting, invoicing, and accounts receivable, with the potential to grow into a Senior Accountant role over time. Key Responsibilities Support daily accounting operations, with an emphasis on Government contract cost accounting, project financial management, and budgeting. Prepare financial inputs for monthly reporting and maintain accurate contract financial information. Manage and track labor, timekeeping, travel, leave, compensatory time, and other direct costs. Create purchase requests and purchase orders for vendors and subcontractors. Review and approve vendor and subcontractor invoices. Review travel estimates and employee expense reports for accuracy and compliance. Prepare customer invoices and manage full-cycle Accounts Receivable. Ensure timely, accurate invoicing and financial reporting for Government contracts. Work closely with the Controller and cross-functional teams to support financial operations and reporting. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field preferred. 15+ years of accounting operations experience. 10+ years of DoD or Government contract cost accounting experience required. Strong understanding of accounting principles, procedures, and financial reporting. Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office. Experience with PROCAS or other DCAA-compliant accounting systems preferred. Familiarity with Delphi, WAWF, and Government contract invoicing processes is a plus. Excellent analytical, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities independently while maintaining confidentiality and accuracy.
