Job Summary:
The Assistant Treasurer (AT) is a key member of the Treasury leadership team responsible for optimizing global liquidity, managing financial risk, supporting capital allocation decisions, and ensuring efficient funding of strategic growth initiatives, including acquisitions. The AT will also support the Treasurer with critical capital structure analysis, decision making, and capital markets execution. This role interacts with global business leaders as well as functional partners such as corporate and technical accounting, tax, legal, audit, business development and banking partners. This critical position offers exposure and visibility to senior management. This role is highly collaborative in nature, requiring excellent communication skills, attention to details and a high level of independence.
Specific Responsibilities:
Mentor and develop treasury team members Serve as Treasury leadership representative on cross-functional initiatives Capital structure and Capital markets: Support executive capital allocation discussions with the CEO and CFO. Analyze growth vs return of capital to shareholders and provide recommendations Evaluate and recommend improvements to capital structure and weighted average cost of capital (WACC) Lead debt portfolio analysis and provide recommendations regarding funding strategies: debt portfolio management, capital markets execution, fixed versus float-rate optimization, and currency mix of debt portfolio (USD vs other currencies) Capital markets compliance with our debt portfolio and revolving credit facility Participate in rating agency and debt investor engagements
Treasury Operations and Liquidity:
Lead Global Treasury cash management operations, bank account management, compliance, forecasting, and investing of excess cash Lead Global sources and uses analysis to determine appropriate funding levels by country, then repatriation of funds back to the US when appropriate Lead global trade finance activities - partnering with trade finance leads in each business/country
Risk Management:
Lead Global FX risk management strategy, reporting, hedge execution, operations, and compliance
M&A Funding:
Lead Global Treasury M&A diligence and integration for pre-close, closing, and post close Lead analysis for intercompany or external funding by country for global M&A Drive treasury process improvement and automation initiatives Build and maintain key banking relationships globally
Qualifications:
10+ years of progressive experience in a multinational corporate treasury function or similar role within a multinational corporation A minimum of 2 years of experience managing FX at a company with an established hedging program Capital markets execution experience Demonstrated success leading complex treasury initiatives across multiple geographies Experience supporting M&A transactions and post-acquisition integrations Excellent communication and presentation skills Strong executive presence and ability to influence senior stakeholders Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced, acquisition-oriented organization Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, economics, or a similar field. MBA preferred Experience with treasury/financial management systems, such as Kyriba and Bloomberg Strong data analysis capabilities including extensive experience building financial models Limited travel may be required Ingersoll Rand Inc.
