Islandia, NY WCD Warehouse is looking for a detail-oriented and analytical Accounting Analyst to join our team. This position will support day-to-day accounting operations, financial reporting, reconciliations, and analysis while helping ensure the accuracy and integrity of our financial information. The ideal candidate is organized, dependable, comfortable working with numbers, and able to identify discrepancies and solve problems in a fast-paced warehouse and distribution environment. Key Responsibilities Perform account reconciliations and investigate discrepancies. Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities. Prepare and analyze financial reports, schedules, and accounting statements. Review transactions for accuracy, completeness, and proper account coding. Analyze accounts payable, accounts receivable, inventory, and general ledger activity. Assist with inventory and warehouse-related accounting analysis. Monitor financial data and identify unusual trends, variances, or discrepancies. Prepare journal entries and supporting documentation as needed. Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis. Maintain organized and accurate accounting records. Support internal and external audits by providing requested documentation. Work with operations, purchasing, sales, and warehouse teams to resolve accounting issues. Develop and maintain Excel spreadsheets and financial reports. Assist with process improvements designed to increase accounting accuracy and efficiency. Perform other accounting and analytical duties as assigned. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field preferred. 2+ years of accounting, finance, or financial analysis experience preferred. Strong understanding of basic accounting principles and financial statements. Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, including formulas, sorting, filtering, and data analysis. Experience with accounting software or ERP systems preferred. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to organize multiple priorities and meet deadlines. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively with a team. Experience in warehouse, distribution, manufacturing, or inventory-based businesses is a plus.
