00/hour 3-6 month temporary assignment Position Overview Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Financial Analyst to provide financial analysis and accounting support for one or more manufacturing facilities. This position will play a key role in financial reporting, manufacturing cost analysis, inventory, budgeting, forecasting, standard costing, capital projects, and variance analysis. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience supporting a manufacturing environment and be comfortable working with financial systems and large sets of data. Key Responsibilities Support the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end financial close process. Prepare and submit journal entries and supporting documentation. Perform financial analysis and investigate discrepancies or unusual activity. Develop and maintain financial templates, models, reports, and analysis tools. Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting for management. Analyze actual results versus budget, forecast, and plan and communicate key variances. Support the annual standard cost roll for manufacturing facilities. Analyze and validate new and existing product costs. Monitor and analyze inventory transactions, material costs, production costs, and expenses. Partner with manufacturing and business teams to understand financial results and operational drivers. Support the annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting processes. Prepare financial assessments and analysis to support business decisions. Maintain and analyze the capital project portfolio, including actual capital expenditures versus plan. Review capital requests for compliance with company policies and support the capital approval process. Prepare financial analysis for post-investment reviews. Provide support for internal and external inventory audits. Develop reports, presentations, worksheets, and charts to communicate financial performance. Support internal control policies, procedures, and practices. Assist with financial systems, including testing and access-related activities. Identify opportunities for process improvement and increased reporting efficiency. Present financial findings, analysis, and recommendations to management as needed. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. 4-8 years of financial accounting, financial analysis, or reporting experience . Manufacturing cost and/or inventory experience required. Experience with standard costing and product costing strongly preferred. Experience with budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and variance analysis. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and resolve financial discrepancies. Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills. Experience working with financial/business reporting systems such as Oracle, AS400, Cognos, Khalix, Informatica, or similar systems a plus. Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with Finance, Operations, Manufacturing, and other business partners.
