Our client, a Commerical Banking company, is looking for a Financial Analyst - Intermediate for their Toronto, ON/Hybrid location.

Responsibilities:

• The team supports CFO partners across Personal Banking, Commercial Banking, Wealth Management, Capital Markets, and Corporate functions. They are responsible for financial reporting, performance analysis, financial modeling, month-end reporting, management reporting, and executive-level insights for business and finance stakeholders.
• The team consists of approximately 23-25 members and operates in a highly collaborative environment. Team members support one another across portfolios, participate in weekly team meetings, knowledge-sharing sessions, and presentations. The team places strong emphasis on collaboration, continuous learning, curiosity, and culture. Team-building activities and cross-training opportunities are common.

Seeking an Intermediate Financial Analyst to support Finance Operations reporting and analysis activities. The successful candidate will be responsible for financial modeling, management reporting, executive reporting, month-end production activities, and business performance analysis. This role will support key finance stakeholders and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives through automation and process optimization.

Develop and maintain financial reporting models and executive reporting packages.

Perform financial analysis of P&L statements, revenue metrics, and business performance indicators.

Support month-end and quarter-end reporting cycles.

Prepare executive-ready reporting and analysis for senior leadership teams.

Identify opportunities to automate and streamline reporting processes.

Leverage Power Query, Power BI, Power Automate, and related tools to improve reporting efficiency.

Improve data quality, controls, and reporting processes.

Support ad hoc analysis, reporting requests, and strategic finance initiatives.

Work closely with finance business partners across multiple business units.

The successful candidate will combine strong financial analysis and advanced Excel skills with a continuous improvement mindset and strong stakeholder engagement capabilities.

Requirements:

3-5+ years of Financial Analysis and Reporting experience.

Strong Financial Modeling experience.

Advanced Excel skills (formulas, financial models, reporting tools, large datasets).

Experience working with P&L statements, financial metrics, and management reporting.

Experience creating, enhancing, or maintaining reporting models.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
