This position will partner with accounting, finance, regulatory, and operational teams and is best suited for someone with direct utility rate case or regulatory finance experience . Responsibilities Prepare and analyze financial information supporting utility rate cases and regulatory proceedings Develop and maintain financial schedules, models, supporting documentation, and workpapers Assist with rate filings, regulatory submissions, and related financial analysis Support revenue requirement, cost-of-service, and rate base analysis Analyze historical financial results, forecasts, operating expenses, capital activity, and other financial data Prepare schedules and supporting information for regulatory requests and proceedings Assist with regulatory mechanisms, infrastructure recovery programs, and other rate-related initiatives Perform financial reconciliations, variance analysis, and trend analysis Validate information between accounting records, financial models, and regulatory schedules Work cross-functionally to gather, analyze, and verify financial information Maintain organized supporting documentation for regulatory submissions Assist with additional financial analysis and special projects as needed Required Experience Direct utility rate case or closely related regulatory finance experience Previous experience working for or supporting a regulated utility , such as water/wastewater, electric, or natural gas Experience with one or more of the following: Rate cases or rate filings Revenue requirement analysis Cost-of-service analysis Rate base calculations Regulatory financial schedules and workpapers Regulatory mechanisms or infrastructure recovery programs Regulatory data requests or discovery Strong financial analysis and accounting knowledge Strong Microsoft Excel skills and experience working with detailed financial schedules Ability to analyze, reconcile, and validate large amounts of financial data Strong attention to detail, organization, and communication skills Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field Previous experience as a Regulatory Analyst, Rates Analyst, Financial Analyst, Regulatory Accountant, Utility Analyst, or similar Experience supporting multiple utility jurisdictions or operating entities Experience with forecasting, budgeting, variance analysis, and general ledger data Experience with ERP, financial reporting, or regulatory systems
