Bilingual Paraplanner / Registered Series 7 Associate

Job Description

Step into an instrumental role. Help conduct the smooth operation of a fast-paced—and friendly—financial planning practice. Work as an employee of an independent advisor franchisee with a financial advisory practice of Ameriprise Financial. Assist in daily business operations. Premier financial planning practice looking for an on-site FINRA Series 7 licensed Paraplanner (registered associate) to assist financial advisors at a high level. This position will consistently follow high standards of business and professional ethics and legal and regulatory requirements. The key areas of responsibility include financial planning, portfolio management, insurance, retirement plans management and client service.
Position Functions and Responsibilities:
Ø Preparation of ongoing financial planning deliverables Ø Assisting with the client's implementation process Ø Analyzing client's existing holdings and overall asset allocation to provide recommendations for allocation and/or rebalancing of portfolios Ø Execution of trades Ø Running portfolio illustrations and hypotheticals Ø Developing appropriate product deliverables Ø Providing relevant and up-to-date economic and market information during portfolio management meetings Ø Communicating and servicing high net worth clients Ø Leveraging on web-based contact management system to monitor client issues Ø Developing and preparing insurance illustrations Ø Analyzing insurance illustrations and contracts Ø Tracking insurance underwriting progress Ø Keeping up with insurance industry trends and continuing education course(s)/seminar(s) as required Ø Managing retirement plan systems (SRAs, SEPs, 401Ks, etc.) Ø Supervising and evaluating paraplanner assistant Ø Act as a technical resource, provide training and support team members Ø Other duties assigned by advisor
Minimum Qualifications:
Ø Series 7, and Series 65 or 66 Ø Life & Health insurance license Ø Minimum of 3 - 5 years of direct experience in financial services industry Ø Strong communication and analytical skills Ø Organizational and multi-tasking ability Ø Tech-driven / savvy Ø Great attitude Ø Motivation for self-improvement Ø Bilingual required (English/Spanish)
Compensation:
Compensation commensurate with relevant experience.

Pay:
$55,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
