Non-Exempt Summary:
The Financial Coordinator Part-Time processes vendor invoices and maintains accurate financial records. This role supports the accounting team by performing accounts payable functions, assisting with month-end activities, and maintaining strong relationships with internal departments and external vendors. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and able to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Review, verify, and process vendor invoices for accuracy and proper approval. Match invoices to purchase orders and receiving documentation when applicable. Code invoices to appropriate general ledger accounts and departments. Maintain accurate vendor records, including W-9 forms and payment information. Respond to vendor inquiries and resolve invoice discrepancies in a timely manner. Reconcile vendor statements and investigate outstanding items. Maintain organized electronic and paper filing systems for accounts payable documents. Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting procedures, and internal controls. Perform other accounting and administrative duties as assigned.
Education:
Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field preferred. Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
Experience:
2+ years of accounts payable, accounting, or finance experience preferred. Experience with accounting systems (Microix and MIP)
Skills:
Strong understanding of accounts payable processes and accounting principles. Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office applications. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy. Strong organizational and time-management skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines. Effective verbal and written communication skills. Ability to handle confidential financial information discreetly. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills. Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.

English Physical Demands:
This position is situated within a professional office environment, requiring consistent use of typical office tools and equipment. Employees regularly operate computers, telephones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines to perform their daily responsibilities efficiently. This position is predominantly sedentary in nature, primarily involving administrative tasks such as filing. Candidates should be able to lift files, access filing cabinets, and adjust their posture by bending or standing as needed to complete duties efficiently.
