Job Description

We are looking for a Sr. Financial Analyst to support plant leadership by turning operational and financial data into actionable insights that improve profitability and working capital performance. This role partners closely with manufacturing teams in Oshkosh, Wisconsin to strengthen cost visibility, enhance reporting discipline, and guide decision-making with clear analysis. The ideal candidate brings strong analytical judgment, a solid understanding of plant finance, and the ability to communicate performance trends to both finance and operations stakeholders.
Responsibilities:
  • Partner with site leadership to identify opportunities that improve manufacturing cost efficiency, cash performance, and overall margin results.
  • Own the excess and obsolete inventory review process, strengthening analysis methods and helping the business reduce exposure through better visibility and follow-through.
  • Produce recurring operational and financial reports that track key measures related to safety, quality, delivery, cost, and cash, while highlighting areas needing attention.
  • Maintain oversight of inventory and fixed asset reporting for the location, supporting data accuracy, reconciliation, and management review.
  • Build and refine analytical models that explain plant cost behavior, including material and conversion variances, productivity outcomes, and value stream performance.
  • Translate financial and operating results into concise updates for leadership, helping teams evaluate progress against goals and assess the impact of business decisions.
  • Investigate performance fluctuations by isolating drivers such as production volume, product mix, inflation, and productivity, and provide insight into percent-of-completion revenue recognition where applicable.
  • Evaluate spending against budget at the cost center level, identify trends, and explain the primary factors influencing variances.
  • Contribute to cross-functional improvement initiatives and, when needed, lead projects aimed at strengthening plant operations and financial performance.
  • Manage month-end close activities for the plant, including preparation of journal entries and submission of results through reporting tools.
