SUPPORT INVESTIGATOR

Jefferson County Department of Social Services is seeking a skilled individual to conduct investigations to determine the location and financial status of individuals legally responsible for the support of children.

Salary Range:

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Either:

Graduation from a regionally accredited or New York State registered college or university with an associate's degree; OR Graduation from high school or possession of a high school equivalency diploma and two years of interviewing or investigating experience involving public contact; OR An equivalent combination of training and experience as defined by the limits of (A) and (B) above.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENT

Appointees will be required to possess a valid license to operate a motor vehicle in New York State or otherwise demonstrate their ability to meet transportation needs of the job.
