We are seeking a hands-on, detail-oriented Accounting Manager (CPA) to oversee the accounting and financial operations of our U.S. division. This is a broad, high-impact role that combines full-cycle accounting, financial reporting, compliance, payroll oversight, and financial analysis. Key Responsibilities Accounting & Financial Management Oversee full-cycle accounting for U.S. operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and bank reconciliations. Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements. Maintain complete financial records and supporting documentation. Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards, company policies, and internal controls. Financial Reporting & Analysis Prepare management reports, cash flow forecasts, and financial analyses to support business planning. Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial performance monitoring. Analyze financial trends, identify potential risks, and recommend opportunities for improvement. Partner with leadership to provide actionable financial insights and support strategic decision-making. Payroll, Tax & Regulatory Compliance Oversee payroll processing, tax remittances, and related reporting requirements. Ensure compliance with applicable federal, state, and provincial tax and payroll regulations, as relevant to the business. Coordinate required GST/HST filings and other regulatory submissions. Work with external accountants, auditors, and tax advisors to support compliance and reporting needs. Process Improvement & Operational Support Identify and implement opportunities to streamline accounting processes and improve efficiency. Strengthen financial controls and establish accounting best practices. Support accounting system improvements, reporting automation, and process optimization. Contribute to broader operational initiatives that improve financial visibility and business performance. Qualifications Required Qualifications CPA designation or recognized equivalent appropriate to the applicable jurisdiction. 5+ years of progressive accounting experience. Strong hands-on experience managing full-cycle accounting and financial reporting. Experience working in a small or mid-sized business environment. Knowledge of applicable payroll, taxation, and financial compliance requirements. Proficiency with accounting systems, Microsoft Excel, and financial reporting tools. Preferred Qualifications Experience supporting multi-location operations. Familiarity with QuickBooks, Odoo, SAP Business One, or similar accounting and ERP platforms. Ability to work independently, prioritize competing responsibilities, and take ownership of outcomes. Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
