Responsibilities Guide customers through the automotive financing process, explaining loan options, terms, and conditions with clarity and confidence. Structure and negotiate loan agreements, ensuring favorable terms for both the customer and dealership while adhering to all relevant financial regulations such as TILA (Truth in Lending Act) and industry standards. Conduct credit analysis to determine customer eligibility for financing options, utilizing financial software and industry tools like CDK (Dealer Management System). Manage loan processing from application submission to approval, including title processing, contract preparation, and compliance with automotive sales industry regulations. Upsell additional products such as automotive insurance, extended warranties, and other dealership services to enhance customer value. Maintain strong client communication throughout the sales cycle, providing exceptional customer service that fosters trust and loyalty. Ensure all transactions comply with financial regulatory requirements, including documentation accuracy and adherence to credit policies. Collaborate with sales teams to optimize deal structures, negotiate terms effectively, and close deals efficiently. Stay informed on industry knowledge of financial regulations and automotive financing trends to provide expert guidance. Skills Proven experience in automotive finance management or loan officer roles within a dealership environment. Strong knowledge of financial services, credit analysis, transaction structuring, and compliance with loan regulations such as TILA. Excellent negotiation skills with the ability to upsell products confidently while maintaining integrity. Proficiency in financial software systems like CDK or similar dealership management tools. Exceptional customer relationship management skills coupled with outstanding client communication abilities. Familiarity with automotive sales industry regulations and legal requirements related to auto financing and insurance products. Basic math skills including 10-key typing proficiency for accurate data entry and calculations. Ability to analyze credit reports swiftly while ensuring adherence to financial regulatory compliance standards. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in contract preparation, title processing, and loan documentation.
