Job Description

Work Location:
500 S Main St.
Orange, CA Working Condition:
In person Working hours: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM Monday to Friday About the Role GWI is looking for a hands-on Accounting Manager to own our monthly and quarterly close, oversee the Accounting Department, and deliver timely, accurate, audit-ready financials. This is a great fit for someone who loves clean books as much as clean reporting — a leader who combines strong bookkeeping discipline with a degreed accountant's command of
U.S. GAAP.
You'll play a central role as we build public-company-grade finance operations. If you have run the close for a public company and take pride in a well-maintained general ledger, we want to hear from you. What You'll Do Bookkeeping & General Ledger Maintain an accurate general ledger and chart of accounts across GWI entities. Oversee daily accounting activity, including AP, AR, cash, payroll, and fixed assets. Review journal entries for accuracy, support, and proper GAAP classification. Monthly & Quarterly Close Lead the month-end and quarter-end close calendar, checklist, and deadlines, targeting a 5-10 business-day close. Prepare and review balance sheet reconciliations, accruals, prepaids, and intercompany activity. Deliver monthly financial statements with variance and flux analysis. Public-Company Reporting Prepare GAAP financial statements and supporting schedules for 10-Q and 10-K filings. Support SEC reporting, footnote disclosures, and XBRL tie-outs with the reporting team. Ensure financial information is timely, accurate, and audit-ready every period. Team & Process Supervise and coach staff accountants and AP/AR team members. Improve close speed and accuracy through ERP automation and standardized procedures. Partner with FP&A, Tax, and Operations to keep the books aligned with the business. What You Bring Required Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance. 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including 2+ years managing the close. Hands-on bookkeeping and general ledger ownership — you've maintained the books yourself, not only reviewed them. Month-end and quarter-end close experience at a U.S. public company (10-Q/10-K filer). Strong
