This role will oversee critical close activities, maintain the integrity of financial records, and help ensure accurate reporting across the organization. The ideal candidate brings strong technical accounting knowledge and a hands-on approach to reconciliations, journal entries, and audit readiness.
Responsibilities:
Lead monthly closing activities by coordinating timelines, reviewing balances, and ensuring financial results are finalized accurately and on schedule. Manage general ledger operations by monitoring account activity, resolving discrepancies, and maintaining the accuracy of accounting records. Prepare and review journal entries with appropriate supporting documentation to ensure completeness and compliance with accounting standards. Perform detailed account reconciliations, investigate variances, and follow through on corrective actions as needed. Support financial statement audit processes by organizing schedules, responding to auditor requests, and helping maintain audit-ready documentation. Analyze financial data and reporting outputs to identify inconsistencies, improve accuracy, and strengthen overall accounting controls. Collaborate with internal stakeholders to gather financial information, clarify accounting issues, and support reporting requirements. Demonstrated experience managing month-end close activities in a detail-focused accounting environment. Strong working knowledge of general ledger processes and financial reporting principles. Proven ability to prepare and review journal entries with a high level of accuracy. Experience completing account reconciliations and resolving outstanding variances effectively. Familiarity with financial statement audit support, including audit schedules and documentation requests. Solid analytical skills with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
