Automotive Finance Manager Luxury Pre-Owned Car Dealer Marietta, GA Job Details Full-time $85,000 - $200,000 a year 1 day ago Qualifications Customer communication Customer service Anti-money laundering High school diploma or GED Attention to detail Insurance sales Time management Full Job Description Position Summary We are seeking an experienced, motivated, and results-driven Automotive Finance Manager (F&I Manager) to join our dealership team. The Finance Manager is responsible for arranging financing for vehicle customers, presenting finance and insurance products, securing lender approvals, maintaining strong lender relationships, maximizing profitability, and ensuring every transaction is completed accurately and in compliance with all applicable laws and dealership policies. The ideal candidate is a strong closer with excellent communication skills, extensive automotive finance knowledge, and a proven ability to generate strong F&I performance while maintaining a professional customer experience. Key Responsibilities Meet with customers after the vehicle sale to complete the financing and documentation process. Present financing options and clearly explain available rates, terms, payments, and lender programs. Present and sell appropriate F&I products , including: Vehicle service contracts GAP protection Maintenance programs Tire and wheel protection Appearance protection Theft protection Other dealership-approved aftermarket products Structure deals to maximize approval opportunities and dealership profitability. Submit credit applications to lenders and obtain competitive financing approvals. Match customers with the appropriate lender based on credit profile, vehicle, loan structure, and available programs. Negotiate with lenders when necessary to obtain approvals and favorable terms. Maintain strong working relationships with banks, credit unions, captive lenders, and other financial institutions. Work closely with the Sales Managers and sales staff to ensure smooth transitions from the sales desk to the finance office. Review every deal for accuracy before finalizing paperwork. Verify customer information, credit applications, identification, insurance, and required documentation. Prepare and execute retail installment contracts, lease agreements, product agreements, and other required finance documents. Ensure contracts are properly signed and completed before vehicle delivery. Monitor outstanding contracts and funding status. Resolve lender funding issues quickly and accurately. Maintain accurate deal jackets and electronic records. Ensure all required documents are submitted to lenders promptly. Monitor contracts in transit (CIT) and work to maintain fast funding times. Maintain accurate records of product sales, chargebacks, cancellations, and lender payments. Sales & Profitability Responsibilities Maximize finance reserve and F&I product penetration while maintaining an ethical and customer-focused sales process. Meet or exceed dealership goals for: F&I gross profit Profit per retail unit (PRU/PVR) Service contract penetration GAP penetration Product penetration Finance penetration Funding turnaround Identify opportunities to improve overall deal profitability. Work with Sales Managers to restructure deals when financing challenges arise. Maintain awareness of current lender programs, interest rates, incentives, and finance promotions. Monitor F&I performance and identify opportunities for improvement. Compliance Responsibilities The Finance Manager must maintain a high level of accuracy and compliance throughout every transaction.

Ensure compliance with all applicable federal and state automotive finance regulations. Follow dealership policies regarding credit applications and customer information. Maintain confidentiality and security of customer financial information.

Truth in Lending Act (TILA) Equal Credit Opportunity Act (ECOA) Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA) Red Flags Rule OFAC screening Safeguards Rule Privacy requirements Ensure all F&I products and financing options are presented accurately and professionally. Maintain consistent and properly documented sales and finance procedures. Avoid deceptive, misleading, or discriminatory finance practices. Maintain complete and audit-ready transaction documentation. Qualifications Previous automotive F&I / Finance Manager experience strongly preferred. Automotive sales management or dealership finance experience preferred. Strong understanding of automotive lending and credit. Knowledge of prime, near-prime, and subprime financing. Strong understanding of deal structure and lender guidelines. Proven ability to sell F&I products. Strong closing and negotiation skills. Excellent mathematical and analytical abilities. Strong attention to detail. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to explain complex financial products clearly to customers. Ability to work efficiently in a high-volume dealership environment. Strong organizational and time-management skills. Professional appearance and attitude. High level of integrity and professionalism. Technology & Systems Experience Candidates should be comfortable working with automotive dealership technology, including: Dealer Management Systems (DMS) Automotive CRM systems Electronic contracting platforms Dealertrack RouteOne Credit bureau systems Lender portals Electronic document and compliance systems Experience with specific dealership systems is a plus. What We're Looking For We are looking for an F&I professional who understands that a successful Finance Manager must be able to produce strong numbers while protecting the dealership and taking care of the customer. The ideal candidate can move quickly in a high-volume environment, structure difficult deals, communicate effectively with lenders, present products confidently, and maintain accurate documentation. You should be comfortable working with customers across a wide range of credit profiles and have the ability to turn challenging transactions into fundable, profitable deals.
