Our client, an established organization located in Suwanee, GA, is seeking an Accounting Manager to oversee day-to-day accounting operations and support the continued development of the accounting function. This is a hybrid position. This opportunity is ideal for a hands-on accounting professional with progressive experience who can manage the monthly close process, prepare financial statements, maintain strong internal controls, supervise accounting staff, and partner with leadership on reporting, compliance, and process improvements.
Responsibilities:
Oversee the general ledger and ensure accounting records are accurate, complete, and maintained in accordance with
U.S. GAAP
Coordinate and execute monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial statements Maintain the close calendar and ensure established reporting deadlines are met Analyze account activity and investigate unusual financial variances Support the preparation of financial reporting packages for leadership Oversee Accounts Receivable activities, including billing, collections, aging, and account resolution Supervise Accounts Payable activities, including invoice processing, approval workflows, vendor payments, and AP aging Monitor daily cash activity and assist with cash forecasting and reporting Oversee payroll-related accounting, reconciliations, and recordkeeping Maintain accounting policies, procedures, internal controls, and appropriate segregation of duties Support annual audits and assist with tax and other compliance-related documentation Partner with leadership and operational teams to strengthen accounting and financial processes Identify opportunities to improve reporting, accounting workflows, and operational efficiency Supervise, mentor, and develop accounting staff Review team members' work for accuracy, completeness, and compliance Establish departmental priorities and delegate responsibilities effectively Maintain organized, accurate, and audit-ready accounting records
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting required Strong knowledge of
U.S. GAAP
Demonstrated experience managing the month-end close process Experience preparing financial statements and reviewing balance sheet reconciliations Previous experience supervising or mentoring accounting staff Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a growing, fast-paced environment Hands-on leadership style with strong attention to detail
Technical Skills:

Pay:
$110,000.00 - $130,000.00 per year
