ACCOUNTING MANAGER JOB DESCRIPTION
Accounting Manager Responsibilities:
The Accounting Manager is responsible for all aspects of the accounting for the fuel wholesale and retail businesses. The Accounting Manager provides executive leadership with financial information by researching and analyzing accounts; preparing financial statements. The Accounting Manager works with, leads and develops the accounting team. The Accounting Manager reports directly to the President. Accounting Manager duties will include, but are not limited to:

Billing/accounts receivable process management including customer billing, daily fuel pricing verification, new customer setups, customer correspondence, posting paymentsReview freight or other invoices, investigate pricing discrepancies and correspond with vendorsReview daily banking transactions, reconcile and post to the general ledgerAccount for and reconcile intercompany transactions, working closely with other accounting staffPrepare detailed general ledger and profit & loss/departmental analyses upon requestPrepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations, including bank reconciliationsAssist with tax return preparationAssist with month-end close and financial statement preparation and analysis, assist with Audit proceduresAssist with other accounts receivable and accounts payable processes as neededAssist President with other responsibilities as needed, including absence coverTeach, train and develop the team Experience/Required skills:

Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance or related fieldTwo (2) years applicable accounting and management experienceAbility to communicate (orally and in writing) in a professional mannerReliable and punctual, has ability to thrive in a fast-paced, change-oriented, high-pressure environmentAbility to multi-task and be detail-oriented to produce timely and accurate results to managementMust be self-motivated and results-oriented with the ability to function effectively as a team member yet work independentlyAbility to establish and meet deadlines and to quickly develop clear priorities
