Education Requirements Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required CPA certification or active CPA candidate preferred Experience Requirements Minimum 5 years of progressive accounting, financial reporting, or internal controls experience At least 2 years of supervisory or leadership experience Experience in manufacturing, distribution, consumer products, food service, or consulting environments preferred Proven ability to manage complex accounting operations and solve financial and operational challenges Job Duties Manage daily accounting operations including accounts payable, accounts receivable, route settlement, and master data maintenance Oversee general ledger accuracy and ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies Prepare, review, and approve journal entries, accruals, amortizations, intercompany transactions, and month-end adjustments Perform account reconciliations and communicate financial performance to operational leaders Analyze cost center expenses and financial results to identify trends, risks, and opportunities Manage fixed asset accounting including additions, disposals, depreciation, and asset schedules Support monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close activities Prepare financial reports, working capital analyses, accounts receivable reporting, and fixed asset spending reports Provide financial analysis and business insights to support operational and strategic decisions Maintain and enforce accounting procedures, internal controls, and GAAP compliance Support internal and external audits by preparing schedules and responding to auditor requests Assist with tax reporting and compliance requirements Lead, coach, and develop accounting staff while ensuring timely completion of financial deadlines Drive process improvement, automation, and operational efficiency initiatives Partner with finance, operations, and business leaders on key projects and business objectives Preferred Qualifications Previous experience in accounting, financial analysis, auditing, budgeting, or corporate finance is preferred. Experience with ERP systems, QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar accounting software is beneficial. Knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, tax preparation, compliance, or internal controls is considered an asset. Individuals who demonstrate professionalism, analytical thinking, accuracy, and strong organizational skills are well positioned for success as a Accounting Manager. Physical Capabilities Ability to remain seated and work at a computer for extended periods. Ability to review detailed financial documents and perform accurate data analysis. Ability to occasionally lift office materials weighing up to 25 pounds. Ability to perform normal office duties while maintaining productivity and attention to detail throughout the workday.
