We are looking for an Accounting Manager to support financial operations for a Contract position based in Massachusetts. This role will oversee core accounting activities, maintain accurate records, and help ensure timely reporting across the close cycle. The ideal candidate brings strong leadership in general ledger management, reconciliations, and audit preparation while working effectively in a hands-on environment. Sage Intacct expertise is needed.

Responsibilities:

Lead the monthly close process, ensuring deadlines are met and financial data is complete and accurate. Manage general ledger activity, reviewing transactions and maintaining the integrity of accounting records. Prepare and post journal entries with appropriate supporting documentation and proper accounting treatment. Perform detailed account reconciliations, investigate discrepancies, and resolve outstanding issues promptly. Coordinate materials and schedules for financial statement audits and respond to auditor requests efficiently. Review financial results for accuracy and consistency, identifying areas that require correction or follow-up. Support ongoing improvements to accounting workflows and help maintain effective internal controls. Partner with internal stakeholders to provide accounting guidance and clarify financial reporting needs. Proven experience in an Accounting Manager role or in a similar senior-level accounting position. Strong working knowledge of month-end close procedures, general ledger accounting, and journal entry preparation. Hands-on experience with account reconciliations and financial statement audit support. Proficiency with Sage Intacct and confidence using accounting systems to manage financial data. Solid understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting standards. High level of accuracy, organization, and attention to detail in a deadline-driven setting. Ability to analyze issues, prioritize tasks, and communicate effectively with cross-functional teams.
