Finance Program Manager, Humanitarian & Emergency Affairs Full-time, salaried, hybrid role (2 days in office) based in Byron Center, MI or Burlington, ON.

About the role:

The Finance Program Manager provides strategic financial leadership, oversight and business partnering across World Renew's Humanitarian & Emergency Affairs (HEA) portfolio. The primary responsibility is International Disaster Response (IDR), with additional support to Disaster Response Services (DRS) and Refugee Sponsorship & Resettlement Programs (RSRP). The role is the main finance focal point for HEA. It covers donor compliance, internal controls, financial monitoring, risk management and partner capacity strengthening. It has primary responsibility for financial oversight of the Canadian Foodgrains Bank (CFGB) portfolio, and also supports institutional grants, humanitarian appeals, consortium awards and emergency response funding.

Key responsibilities:

• Portfolio financial management and oversight (30%): monitor expenditure, forecasts, burn rates and funding gaps; build executive dashboards; prepare monthly financial reports; support budgeting and forecasting; manage cost recovery, fund transfers and exchange-rate exposure.
• Donor financial management and compliance (15%): act as financial focal point for institutional donor grants; lead CFGB financial oversight; review budget amendments, reports and closeouts; develop proposal budgets; ensure compliance with donor regulations and sanctions/anti-terrorism requirements.
• Financial monitoring, internal controls and risk management (25%): conduct remote and in-person monitoring reviews and spot-checks; review partner financial reports; strengthen internal controls; follow up on corrective actions; support fraud prevention and external audits.
• Capacity strengthening and technical support (15%): identify capacity gaps and support learning plans for country offices and partners; provide technical guidance; promote localization.
• Financial coordination and organizational support (10%) and strategic finance and continuous improvement (5%).

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business, international development or a related field; at least 7 years of progressively responsible experience in financial management, grant finance or nonprofit finance; experience managing institutional donor-funded projects and multi-country grant portfolios; strong knowledge of donor compliance; advanced Excel and ERP skills (Sage Intacct or similar). A professional accounting designation (CPA, CGA, CMA, ACCA) and experience with CFGB, GAC, USAID/BHA or UN funding are preferred. French, Spanish or Arabic is an asset. The role requires a personal Christian faith and commitment to World Renew's mission, permanent work authorization, and international travel of up to about 20%.
