Job Summary Our client, a leading energy and utilities provider, is seeking an IT Controller II to join their team. This position will provide financial leadership and governance across IT portfolios, ensuring compliance with corporate policies, GAAP, and regulatory requirements while delivering strategic financial insights to IT and Finance leadership. This position is W-2 only. We do not work with third-party firms or C2C arrangements for this role.

Roseville, MN Core Responsibilities Lead portfolio-level financial governance and ensure compliance with corporate, GAAP, and regulatory standards, including FERC requirements Own end-to-end IT portfolio financials, including forecasting, accruals, journal entries, and variance analysis Ensure portfolio financial reporting is timely, transparent, and accurate Identify and escalate financial risks to senior leadership with actionable recommendations Conduct trend, scenario, and benchmarking analyses to identify financial risks and opportunities Develop business cases, support funding requests, and provide decision-ready financial insights Mentor Portfolio Coordinators and junior finance staff while promoting continuous improvement and financial best practices Required Skills/Experience (Must-Haves) Bachelor's degree in technology, science, business, or a related field, or four additional years of equivalent professional experience 7+ years of experience supporting IT-related business controls or processes Experience with financial accounting, compliance, audit, supply chain, software asset management, or related disciplines Strong knowledge of forecasting, accruals, journal entries, variance analysis, and financial reporting Ability to articulate core business and technology processes and related industry trends Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills Demonstrated ability to build consensus across teams and organizational levels Preferred Skills/Experience (Nice-to-Haves) Experience providing financial governance for large IT portfolios Knowledge of GAAP and utility regulatory requirements, including FERC Experience developing business cases and supporting enterprise funding requests Experience conducting financial trend and scenario analysis Utility-industry or Fortune 500 experience Experience benchmarking financial performance against peer organizations Experience mentoring junior finance professionals or Portfolio Coordinators Key Competencies & Behaviors Strategic financial leadership and sound business judgment Strong relationship-management and cross-functional collaboration skills Clear communication across varying organizational levels and skill sets Ability to drive consensus and influence business decisions Commitment to continuous improvement, innovation, and talent development

The approximate pay range for this position is between $50.00 and $70.00. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate.
