Our search division recruits highly skilled professionals on a direct-hire basis. We primarily service clients throughout the NY/NJ area and nationally through our AAFA network. Our client is seeking an experienced Accounting Manage r with a strong accounting background to oversee the company's day-to-day accounting operations, financial reporting, and compliance activities. This individual will play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records, supporting business operations, and driving process improvements

Responsibilities:

Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements Manage the month-end and year-end close processes Perform monthly account reconciliations, including account balances, expenses, and employee reimbursements Prepare weekly, monthly, and annual financial reports for management Partner with external auditors during annual audits and financial review Ensure compliance with accounting policies, internal controls, and applicable regulatory requirement Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and operational efficiencies

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required 4+ years of progressive accounting experience, including experience within the insurance industry (required)
