Finance Manager - Automotive Dealership

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced, motivated, and customer-focused Finance Manager to join our automotive dealership team. The Finance Manager is responsible for guiding customers through the financing and vehicle purchase process, presenting protection products and additional services, working with lenders, and ensuring all deals are completed accurately, profitably, and in compliance with federal, state, and dealership requirements. The ideal candidate is a strong communicator and proven closer who can balance profitability, compliance, and an exceptional customer experience . Key Responsibilities Meet with customers after the vehicle selection process to complete the financing and F&I process. Review customer credit applications and structure financing options with appropriate lenders. Submit credit applications and negotiate approvals, rates, terms, and programs with banks and finance companies. Present financing and leasing options clearly and professionally. Effectively present and sell F&I products, including: Extended service contracts GAP protection Prepaid maintenance Tire & wheel protection Appearance protection Other dealership-approved products and services Explain contracts, warranties, financing terms, payment options, and applicable fees accurately. Maintain strong relationships with lenders and maximize available finance opportunities. Ensure all paperwork is accurate, complete, and properly executed before deals are funded. Review and verify deal jackets for accuracy and compliance. Monitor funding and follow up on any outstanding stipulations or documentation. Maintain compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local laws, regulations, and lender requirements. Protect customer privacy and confidential financial information. Work closely with Sales Managers and Sales Consultants to structure deals and maximize dealership profitability. Assist the sales team with overcoming financing objections and closing opportunities. Maintain strong CSI/customer satisfaction while achieving dealership F&I objectives. Consistently meet or exceed dealership goals for: Finance penetration F&I gross profit Product penetration Service contract sales GAP sales Funding and chargeback performance Stay current on lender programs, manufacturer incentives, F&I products, and compliance requirements. Maintain a professional, organized, and positive work environment. Qualifications Previous automotive Finance Manager/F&I Manager experience preferred. Proven track record of success in automotive F&I. Strong knowledge of automotive financing, leasing, credit, and F&I products. Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and closing skills. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced dealership environment. Strong computer and dealership management system skills. Professional appearance and positive attitude. Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive customer information. Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record. Preferred Experience Experience working with multiple automotive lenders. Knowledge of GM financing and incentive programs. Experience with dealership CRM and DMS systems. Strong understanding of state and federal F&I compliance requirements. Proven ability to generate strong PVR while maintaining excellent customer satisfaction.
