•Job Description Position Summary The Finance Manager is responsible for overseeing the financial health and integrity of the organization. This role provides strategic financial leadership, ensures compliance with regulatory and audit standards, and supports program and organizational growth through sound fiscal management.

Health insurance paid by employer & PTO Key Responsibilities Financial Leadership & Strategy Lead financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes Provide strategic financial guidance to executive leadership and program directors Develop and improve financial systems, policies, and internal controls Monitor and manage organizational cash flow, including forecasting cash needs and ensuring adequate liquidity for operations. Serve as a strategic partner to the Executive Director, providing financial analysis and recommendations to support organizational planning and decision-making. Financial Operations & Reporting Work in combination with bookkeeping to oversee accounting operations, including general ledger, reconciliations, and financial reporting Oversee accounts payable and receivable functions in coordination with finance assistant and outsourced bookkeeping services, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and proper internal controls. Produce accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports Present financial reports to the Board of Directors Ensure compliance with all reporting requirements (taxes, grants, regulatory filings) Oversee accounts payable and receivable functions in coordination with finance assistant and outsourced bookkeeping services, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and proper internal controls. Oversee financial systems and accounting software, ensuring accurate data, efficient processes, and appropriate staff training. Audit & Compliance Ensure adherence to audit standards and internal controls Coordinate and support annual external audits Monitor and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local funding requirements Review contracts and grant agreements for financial compliance Develop and maintain internal financial controls and procedures to safeguard organizational assets and ensure compliance with regulatory and funding requirements. Budget & Grant Management Develop and manage the annual operating budget Monitor program and project budgets Support grant budgeting, reporting, and compliance Identify and pursue funding opportunities, including grants and partnerships Lead development of grant budgets and financial documentation for proposals; oversee financial tracking, reporting, and compliance for all awarded grants, ensuring alignment with funder requirements and timelines. Monitor grant spending to ensure alignment with approved budgets and proactively identify and address variances or compliance risks. Team Leadership & Collaboration Provide financial guidance and training to program directors and bookkeeping staff Collaborate with leadership team on organizational strategy Build and maintain relationships with community partners, agencies, and stakeholders Operational Support Ensure efficient operation of financial systems and processes Step in for executive leadership as needed Support development of program and agency initiatives Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field preferred Minimum 5+ years of progressive financial management experience Experience with nonprofit finance, grant management, and compliance strongly preferred Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting Proven leadership and team management skills Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines Additional Requirements Valid driver's license and 3 years clean driving record Background check clearance
