Type:

full-time Seeking a Property Accounting Manager for a growing global commercial real estate and property management company! Key Skills and Core Values Collaboration with the company's accounting and property management teams Mentorship and development of Property Accountants Results-focused and ability to work independently. Continuous Improvement; make recommendations The Accounting Manager will oversee monthly financial reporting for a portfolio of commercial and multifamily real estate properties and manage property onboarding and offboarding as they enter or exit the portfolio.

Key Responsibilities:

Review monthly financial statements, bank and escrow reconciliations, journal entries (accruals, depreciation, amortization), and balance sheet reconciliations Review owner distributions and management fee calculations; oversee cash flow and AP across the portfolio Lead property onboarding: transfer of historical records, bank account and system setup, and transition of vendor, utility, mortgage, and insurance accounts Lead property offboarding: final financials and closing packages, final distributions, account closures, and transfer of records Support year-end audit and tax reporting Train, mentor, and evaluate Property Accountants and Senior Property Accountants Serve as the escalation point for complex accounting issues and owner/asset manager inquiries Partner with the accounting, property management, and asset management teams and drive process improvements

Requirements:

BS in Accounting; CPA preferred 7+ years of accounting experience, including supervisory or review responsibility Strong background in financial statement reporting, bank reconciliations, journal entries, and GAAP Real estate accounting experience and advanced Excel required Property transition experience strongly preferred; MRI or Yardi a plus Benefits Robust benefits package, ESOP & 401K match, base (based on experience), and an annual bonus

•The first 90 days are fully onsite, and work from home one day a week thereafter.
