Job Description

Finance and Administration Manager Artistree, a nonprofit community arts center based in South Pomfret, VT, is seeking a Finance and Administration Manager to join our team. This position will play a key role in maintaining robust financial controls for a diverse, dynamic arts organization, ensuring visibility, transparency, and accountability of financial outcomes for Artistree leadership, including the Executive Director and Artistree's Board of Directors. The Finance and Administration Manager role is a part-time position at our South Pomfret, VT campus, reporting to our Executive Director. The role will be approximately 20-25 hours per week; schedule will be flexible, primarily Monday through Friday during business hours, with occasional weekend and evening activities as required. The pay range for this position will be $30.00 to $35.00 per hour, based on experience. The position would also support the operations of the Teago General Store, also located in South Pomfret.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
Finance:
Develop and maintain the organizational budget as well as multiple program budgets, coordinating with department leaders across the organization Track expenses for all aspects of the organization Payment of vendors and contractors Invoicing for program partners and sponsors Maintain Quickbooks, including but not limited to A/P, A/R, bank deposits, petty cash tracking, bill payment, bank and credit card monthly reconciliations Handle monthly and quarterly payroll tax returns and other compliance filings; ensure compliance with all relevant federal and state laws and regulations Prepare and present financial reports and analysis to the Executive Director and the Board of Directors, including but not limited to: budget to actual reports, program expense reports, balance sheets, and cash flow statements Handle sales tax and MRT filings for
Teago General Store Administration/Human Resources:
Process payroll on a recurring basis (biweekly for Artistree, with weekly seasonal payroll; weekly for Teago General Store), including tracking vacation and sick days Track all employee and contractor paperwork; maintain contracts for outside instructors and other contractors Maintain Workers' Comp, Disability, and State Unemployment Insurance policies and claims Benefits administration, including managing Artistree's health insurance coverage and retirement plan Support for hiring/recruiting as required
QUALIFICATIONS
5+ years of relevant finance, accounting, and/or administrative experience, preferably with experience in a non-profit setting Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting; advanced degree or certification a plus Mastery of Quickbooks Desktop/Online and Excel Strong communication skills and experience working with staff across an organization Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, ability to prioritize and meet deadlines Reliable and trustworthy
