Other duties include file maintenance and general back-office functions. Main Accountability/Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Research and process Exception items including returned deposit items/chargebacks, ACH, Non-post, NSF, etc. Perform internal DDA and general ledger account reconciliations Complete journal entries for account transfers and adjustments Review and monitor stop payments, dormant accounts, and other account or file maintenance processes. Perform new account documentation review Monitor Reg D NOW accounts/excessive transactions Assist with IRA review and reporting Complete customer account maintenance, i.e. return mail, change of address, and stop payment. Process and balance Collection items; both domestic and foreign Administer Federal Reserve Check adjustments Process Cash letters for Savings Bonds and review redemptions for proper interest reporting Assist Operations staff with incoming and outgoing wire transfers Provide operational support to banking centers and other bank departments Manage legal requests and notifications to ensure compliance: levies, garnishments, freeze notices, and reclamations Expand and maintain knowledge of all bank products and services Monitor/analyze various reports Review and analyze work methods and make recommendations to increase efficiency and productivity. Assist with implementing procedures for deposit processes and products Complete deposit account research and reporting Maintain detailed records of work and research for retention purposes Complete assigned special projects and training as requested Recommend changes or alternate ways in processing methods to improve operating efficiency and service levels Ensure compliance with audit and regulatory procedures and adherence to compliance guidelines Assist with various back office duties and serve as back-up/alternate when needed Work Environment/Physical Demands• Typical office environment.
Qualifications Summary:
Education High School Diploma or GED equivalent; 2-years College in Business-related field preferred Experience 2-3 years of branch or related banking experience. 1-2 years' experience in banking operations and or Accounting preferred. Skills Working knowledge of branch functions, banking operations and accounting principles. Ability to work well with affiliate bank departments and branch personnel. Knowledge of bank systems/applications, processes, and documentation. Must be accurate and thorough with strong customer service skills. Must be able to communicate effectively with both customers and other internal employees. Must be able to meet deadlines and resolve problems in a timely manner. Knowledge of computer software and applications including Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
