Primary Role :
The Finance Specialist will provide administrative and financial support to ensure efficient operation of the office. Supports managers and employees through a variety of tasks related to organization and communication.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
(Management may amend or assign duties and responsibilities to this job at any time) Maintain positive and professional staff and client relationships; welcome and greet clients and office guests.
  • Answer phones in a professional manner and direct calls to appropriate people or take detailed messages.
  • Support the Finance Department with general operational tasks; perform general accounting and bookkeeping duties such as but not limited to; billing, printing checks, receiving customer payments in the form of credit card transactions and/or check form, entering accounts payable invoices and coding to the correct ledger account.
  • Suggest changes to the workflow to improve efficiency.
  • Manage communication of information both internal and external; type out correspondence letters, emails, memos, etc. (paper and electronic); prepare outgoing mail and packages for management.
  • Ensure workspace is always kept clean and organized.
  • Keep all knowledge of the company finances confidential.
Qualifications and Key Skills:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Self-starter; Ability to work independently
  • Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction.
  • Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Suite and other administrative programs
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Excel, knowledge of formulas and creating spreadsheets with formulas.
  • Ability to prioritize work responsibilities.
  • Invoicing
  • Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivables
  • Auditing Freight Charges
  • Maintain and review emails.
Pay:
$16.50 - $17.00 per hour
