Part-Time Accounting & Finance Specialist
Job Description
Trumm Drug, Inc. is looking for an experienced, trustworthy, and highly organized Part - Time Accounting & Finance Specialist to join our team. This is an important behind-the-scenes role supporting the daily financial operations of our six-location independent pharmacy organization. We are looking for someone who genuinely enjoys accounting, works well independently, takes ownership of their responsibilities, and understands that accuracy and integrity matter when you are entrusted with an organization's finances. This is not simply a data-entry position. Our ideal candidate is someone who understands financial reconciliation, recognizes when something doesn't look right, and is willing to investigate until it balances. What You'll Do In this role, you will be responsible for a variety of daily accounting and financial functions, including: Daily cash, bank, and point-of-sale reconciliation Preparing and verifying deposits Reconciling credit/debit card and third-party payment activity Maintaining accurate financial records in QuickBooks Managing patient payment accounts and receivables for six pharmacy locations Researching and resolving account discrepancies Assisting with accounts payable and general accounting functions Maintaining organized financial documentation and records Communicating with banks, payment processors, vendors, and other business partners Working closely with our CEO, COO, and external CPA team Following established internal controls and segregation-of-duties procedures
•This position manages patient payments and account balances but does not process pharmacy insurance claims.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
(please read carefully): Previous professional experience in accounting, bookkeeping, finance, banking, or a related financial role Strong working knowledge of QuickBooks Strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel Experience with point-of-sale systems and POS reconciliation Experience with cash handling, deposits, and account reconciliation Strong computer and Microsoft Office skills Excellent attention to detail and mathematical accuracy Ability to maintain strict confidentiality
Preferred:
Associate's or bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field Experience working with CPAs or professional accountants Experience with accounting for a multi-location business Healthcare, pharmacy, or retail accounting experience Experience with customer or patient receivables Why Trumm Drug?
