Organizational Location:
This position is located in the Department of Homeland Security, U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement, Chief Financial Officer, Office of Financial Management, Financial Operations, Accounting Operations & Quality Assurance in Williston, Vermont This is a non-bargaining unit position.

You qualify for the GS-09 grade level if you possess one of the following:
Experience:
One (1) year of specialized experience at the GS-07 grade level or equivalent performing duties such as: Identifying administrative problems to recommend solutions in multiple specialty areas; Providing advice to staff on established methods and procedures on multiple specialty areas; Providing administrative support to various specialty areas (i.e. acquisition, training, logistics, property, records management, mail, travel, human resources, and time and attendance).
OR Education:
a master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.B. or J.D., if related. Or A combination of successfully completed post-high school education beyond the second year (i.e., education in excess of the first 60 semester hours) and experience which totals at least one year. Qualification requirements must be met by the closing date of this announcement. Qualification claims will be subject to verification. National Service Experience (i.e., volunteer experience): Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
Current or Former Political Appointees:
The Office of Personnel Management (OPM) must authorize employment offers made to current or former political appointees.
