Location:
Chicago / Milwaukee / New Jersey Role Overview The Manager - Financial Reporting will supervise a team of administrators responsible for accounting, administration, financial reporting, regulatory reporting, and investor servicing for investment companies and advisers. The role will serve as a trusted advisor and primary escalation point for clients, while driving issue resolution, process improvements, risk mitigation, and delivery of high-quality financial reporting services. Key Responsibilities Supervise and provide leadership to a team supporting accounting, administration, financial reporting, regulatory reporting, and investor servicing. Support investment companies and advisers, including hedge funds, private equity funds, CLOs, and other alternative investment vehicles. Act as the escalation point for assigned clients and lead issue resolution and process changes. Build strong client relationships and act as a trusted advisor, understanding changing business needs and investment strategies. Proactively identify risk-related issues through qualitative and quantitative data analysis. Anticipate potential obstacles and implement appropriate mitigation strategies and solutions. Review accounting and financial statement information prepared for audit and tax reviews. Support documentation and setup of accounting principles for unusual/complex investment types. Oversee setup and processing of complex expense and incentive fee calculations. Review and reconcile accounting and financial reporting items. Ensure accurate and timely delivery of client reporting and related services. Basic Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent experience. 5-7 years of experience in the alternative investments industry, gained through: Fund / Investment Company Fund administrator Big Four or mid-size public accounting firm performing fund audits Strong understanding of portfolio accounting and the investment management industry. Preferred Skills Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Thorough knowledge of Advent applications preferred. Thorough knowledge of the Confluence financial reporting platform preferred. Strong understanding of alternative investments and portfolio accounting. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Proven team leadership, organizational, and collaboration skills. CPA preferred. From $60.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
