BSA AML Transaction Monitoring Team Lead Banco Sabadell - 3.9 Miami Lakes, FL Job Details Full-time 1 hour ago Qualifications Investigations regulatory compliance Research Suspicious activity investigations Economic sanctions regulations Bank experience Anti-Money Laundering (AML) compliance (compliance procedures implemented) Suspicious activity report (SAR) preparation Investigative reports Investigating compliance violations Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) Anti-money laundering investigation Full Job Description Essential Duties and Responsibilities Analyze accounts for suspicious or unusual activity in order to detect and conclude on any suspicious activity noted from analysis. Compile report(s) and any recommendations regarding final resolution for the Assistant BSA Officer or designee for review and/or discussion. Perform research of accounts to further identify and actively search for explanations or solutions for suspicious activity. Maintain a broad perspective to ensure all possible alternatives, sources and explanations are reviewed and concluded in a timely manner to minimize the risk and protect the Bank. Facilitate information requests from Relationship Managers and utilize sources such as the Bank's core banking system, the transaction monitoring software application utilized, Internet to deliver the response. Manage queue of investigations and manage time accordingly. Prepare and the filing of suspicious activity reports (SARs). Attend, as directed, compliance courses, seminars, conferences and workshops to stay abreast of regulatory developments and enhance knowledge and understanding of applicable laws, rules, and regulations. Capable of following BSA/AML policies/procedures and identify instances of non-compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations. Assist in the execution of any special projects assigned to the Compliance Department. Minimum Qualifications Minimum 5 years of investigative or related experience with specific emphasis on BSA/AML and/or fraud prevention at a financial institution, regulatory or law enforcement agency with prior experience in the preparation and filing of Suspicious Activity Reports. Experience with international clients/customers Bachelor degree or equivalent job experience in the financial services industry. Exposure to OFAC regulation Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist or other AML certification preferred.
