As a BSA Analyst, the essential responsibilities include: Consistently conduct monitoring and trend analysis bank wide across a variety of business units to understand current state of BSA/AML program. Support the BSA Officer by performing various transaction reviews within our transaction monitoring system, Verafin. This includes but is not limited to potential structuring, money laundering or terrorist financing. Monitor and analyze daily alerts, review and submit Currency Transaction Reports (CTRs), document customer behavior patterns for customer due diligence reviews within applicable timeframes. Maintain knowledge of the Bank Secrecy Act, OFAC, and other anti-money laundering regulations Research, collaborate, and communicate with multiple departments to investigate and mitigate potential suspicious activity. Exercise solid judgment on examining information and document suspicious activity, behaviors, and patterns accurately and concisely. Investigate and/or escalate potential OFAC or sanctions alerts, including name screening, transaction screening, and customer level reviews Escalate any findings or concerns relating to potential violations of BSA, AML, or OFAC, to the BSA Officer or BSA Administrator including but not limited to: High Risk customer identification and monitoring Daily Anti-Money laundering software monitoring and analyzation Suspicious activity Utilizing independent judgment, advise and support Compliance Department. Interpret policies/procedures and advise regarding BSA, CIP, and CDD day-to-day questions Conduct Risk Reviews and Cash Counts throughout the branch footprint, traveling to assigned locations to assess the institution's compliance and risk profile. Communicate findings and discuss identified weaknesses with the Retail Management team throughout the review process. Work with departments and BSA Officer to assess effectiveness of solutions or provide additional testing or monitoring for effective controls. High Risk customer identification and monitoring Daily Anti-Money laundering software monitoring and analyzation Suspicious activity Skills Needed Minimum 3 years of bank experience relating to bank operations and compliance; experience working with the Bank Secrecy Act High attention to detail and strong organizational skills Excellent verbal and written communication skills Proven ability to be a self-starter and work independently to meet deadlines Demonstrated ability to document concerns accurately and timely Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office Word, Excel, and Outlook In addition to traditional compensation and benefits packages, our leaders continue to collaborate to launch innovative employee benefits and perks including, Affordable Medical/ Vision/ Dental Coverage
