Commercial Surety | Regional Leadership & Growth Polikov Recruitment Solutions is partnering with a highly rated global insurance organization to identify an experienced Commercial Surety professional to lead the growth and development of its Northeast region. This is a unique opportunity for an established Commercial Surety underwriter or leader who wants greater underwriting authority, autonomy, and ownership over the direction of a territory. Rather than stepping into an established team and simply managing an existing operation, this individual will have the opportunity to build the Northeast region. The successful candidate will be responsible for underwriting and developing profitable Commercial Surety business, expanding relationships with key brokers, and establishing the foundation for future growth. As the portfolio develops and business needs warrant, this individual will have the opportunity to hire and build a team around them. The Opportunity The Northeast Regional Manager will take ownership of Commercial Surety business across New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Connecticut, and Massachusetts. This individual will have significant underwriting authority and autonomy to make decisions at the regional level while working within the broader strategy of an established global surety organization.

Responsibilities will include:

Developing and executing a strategy to profitably grow the Northeast Commercial Surety portfolio Underwriting new and existing Commercial Surety accounts Exercising significant underwriting authority and making sound risk-selection decisions Developing and maintaining relationships with brokers and clients throughout the Northeast Working closely with national Commercial Surety leadership on appetite, strategy, and growth initiatives Representing the organization in the marketplace through broker meetings, client interaction, and industry events Building the infrastructure for continued regional expansion Hiring, developing, and leading additional underwriting talent as the portfolio grows and business needs warrant Ideal Background We are looking for an experienced Commercial Surety professional who combines strong technical underwriting capabilities with a proven ability to develop business and build meaningful broker relationships.

The ideal candidate will bring:

Significant Commercial Surety underwriting experience Strong knowledge of the Northeast Commercial Surety marketplace Established broker relationships across NY, NJ, PA, CT, and/or MA Relationships with regional brokerage firms as well as national organizations Experience underwriting sophisticated Commercial Surety risks Strong financial analysis, risk selection, and portfolio management capabilities A demonstrated ability to generate and develop profitable business An entrepreneurial mindset and interest in building a region rather than simply maintaining an established book Leadership capabilities and an interest in eventually recruiting, mentoring, and developing a regional team Why Consider This Opportunity?
