full-time Position Overview The Loss Mitigation Single Point of Contact (SPOC) plays an important role in the organization by performing a variety of tasks related to the company's Loss Mitigation functions. The role is responsible for acting as a single point of contact for Loss Mitigation activities. This role works directly with borrowers experiencing financial hardships to identify homeownership retention options for eligible FNMA, FHLMC, USDA, FHA, and VA loans. Activities include, but not limited to, missing document follow-up, communicating approval and/or denial decisions associated with the Loss Mitigation evaluation, monitoring trial payment plans, and educating borrowers on Loss Mitigation programs in accordance with established investor/insurer, state, and federal guidelines/regulations. Must-Have Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required; college courses or a bachelor's degree in finance, business, or a related field preferred SPOC experience in a call center setting (required, pre-COVID experience preferred) 5+ years of loss mitigation experience Proven experience handling 60-90 inbound and outbound calls per day Manual outbound dialing experience Strong knowledge of investor regulations (USDA experience is a plus) Experience working with pipeline reports Demonstrated ability to act with urgency while maintaining accuracy Strong phone presence and professional call etiquette Comfortable managing difficult borrower conversations Day-to-Day Responsibilities Serve as a Single Point of Contact (SPOC) for borrowers through the loss mitigation process Handle a high volume of inbound and outbound borrower calls daily Conduct manual outbound calls to drive resolution and next steps Educate borrowers on loss mitigation options, including loan modifications Navigate and explain investor guidelines and regulatory requirements Manage and update borrower pipelines and reports Maintain quality standards, call metrics, and compliance requirements Average handle time of 8-12 minutes per loss mitigation call Preferred Qualifications Experience with late-stage loss mitigation , including escalation toward foreclosure Ability to clearly explain the loss mitigation process from start to finish Background working within large mortgage servicing or call center environments Experience supporting mortgage hubs (Florida, Texas, Michigan, Arizona preferred) QA scores consistently 90% or higher Strong attention to detail and time management Highly motivated, reliable, and able to work independently in a remote setting
