Description We are looking for an experienced SBA Loan Closer to support the end-to-end preparation and coordination of SBA loan closings. This Long-term Contract position is ideal for someone who brings strong documentation expertise, works carefully through compliance requirements, and can keep multiple closing activities moving efficiently. The person in this role will partner with borrowers and third-party providers to finalize accurate loan packages, confirm required conditions are satisfied, and help ensure each transaction is ready to fund on schedule. This is a fully remote position.

Responsibilities:

• Review closing files in detail to verify that required documents, searches, and supporting materials are complete, accurate, and aligned with approved loan terms.
• Organize and assemble loan packages in accordance with SBA standards and internal documentation expectations so files are fully prepared for closing.
• Secure SBA approvals through E-Tran and produce authorization documents that reflect the applicable credit structure, conditions, and program requirements.
• Draft and validate closing documents in LaserPro, checking all forms carefully to confirm consistency, completeness, and regulatory accuracy.
• Coordinate with borrowers, escrow partners, title representatives, and insurance contacts to keep closing timelines on track and resolve outstanding items.
• Monitor collateral documentation to confirm liens are properly recorded and that the bank's security interest is established in the correct position.
• Create and manage closing checklists to track open conditions, follow up on missing items, and support a smooth path to funding. Requirements
• At least 3 years of experience in SBA loan closing, loan documentation, or a closely related commercial lending function.
• Strong working knowledge of SBA eligibility rules, documentation standards, and program guidelines.
• Hands-on experience using SBA One and E-Tran to process approvals and manage required SBA submissions.
• Proficiency with LaserPro and the preparation of SBA-related closing documents and forms.
• Solid understanding of closing procedures, compliance expectations, and collateral perfection requirements.
• High attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple files, maintain organization, and follow through on outstanding conditions.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills for working with clients, title and escrow contacts, insurance providers, and internal banking teams.
• Familiarity with tools such as Adobe Acrobat, LexisNexis, and automated underwriting or related loan support systems is preferred.
